Dear Parents,

We have received many inquiries on the Hepatitis A vaccine, as the public school system is now mandating this important vaccine. Poole and Thomas Pediatrics has been giving this vaccine for many years, per the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics. If your child has been under the care of one of our providers and you have followed our recommendations, rest assured, your child is up to date on this vaccine. If you have any questions about your child's immunization status, please contact our office to discuss.

Testimonials

  • "Coming Soon"

To our families and future families—we are thinking of you and going through these crazy times with you! Due to our concern with bringing more germs into the hospitals, the fabulous neonatal intensive care teams at both Baptist Health and St. Joe East have reached out to offer to care for our newborns while in the hospital following delivery. This has not been an easy decision for us as we love being there with our families from the very beginning, however, we do feel this is the safest option during this crisis. Please rest assured that we are still doing all of our newborn follow ups in the office in a controlled setting and we will look very forward to seeing you soon!

As some of you know, we are starting to implement Telemedicine visits in our clinic. We can not use this to replace all types of sick visits but in these unprecedented times we are trying to minimize visits to the office and therefore exposure. This type of visit may require you to come to the office for additional testing like flu or strep test, which we will try to perform in your vehicle whenever possible. We will still have in office visits available but for the safety of you and our staff we are going to try to minimize these. The morning you schedule a telemedicine visit, you will be sent a consent form to sign and return to us via fax, email or even a picture of the signed form emailed to us. You can also look for this under the “forms” section on our website. Please be patient with us as we start this, there will inevitably be modifications along the way as we try to continue to provide the best care for your children.

Another adjustment that will be taking place starting Tuesday, March 24 is that our office hours in which we see patients will be shortened to the hours of 9:30AM to 3PM. You will still be able to reach a physician or someone at the office from the hours of 7:30AM to 5PM. We recognize that many changes are occurring in your lives and the lives of your family. We are here to help in any way we can.
